| It is a fact that traction is lost due to overwhelming power to the drive wheels. If you're Mustang is suffering from traction loss or wheel hop it's not always too much power. In this economy and with the cancellation by Ford of the Crown Victoria many law enforcement departments are hesitating to purchase new vehicles. The Dodge Charger and even the new Taurus specific police interceptor lack the amount of interior room for above average height police officer and his/her equipment.
Many departments are also put off by their less then stellar performance in real world scenarios such as performing the P.I.T., these vehicles are unibody construction and can be destroyed easily.
Many companies have resorted to complete restorations from ground up of current Interceptor model Crown Victoria cruisers. The Crown Victoria is built on a body on frame design and most larger police departments have full body shops that can also straighten the frames of the Crown Victoria.
Give your company the edge, the biggest issue with the Crown Victoria is in the rear, they are built with stamped steel rear control arms with soft rubber bushing inserts that distort and flex under load. Sparta Performance offers rear control arms that are rectangular tube steel that will not distort, these control arms come with high strength polyurethane bushings with a unique Delrin sleeve insert for permanent lubrication.
Sparta Performance also offers for the Crown Victoria anti sway bars kits. These anti sway bar kits come complete with polyurethane frame bushings and stabilizer links. The most popular choice of the refurbishing companies are the rear control arms and rear anti sway bar kits. We also offer front anti sway bar kits for the Crown Victoria P.
